Mykal Gambull Bio

Mykal Gambull vocalist & guitarist for The Mykal Gambull Band. Mykal has been playing music for about 20 years, professionally for the last 12. He had grown up in a richly diverse musical family. Immediate and extended family have all had an influence on Myk and his journey in music. His influences range from Albert & BB King, Howling Wolf, Muddy Waters, the Canadian David Wilcox, Merle Haggard, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. John Fogerty, Buddy Holly, Waylon Jennings, Marty Stuart, Chuck Berry and Errol ‘C-weed’ Ranville are among other performers he admires. Their influence is evident in every performance he does. Mykal is a young, energetic, crowd-pleasing entertainer who performs every performance as though it is his last. Witnessing one of Mykal's performances, one comes to realise that he is a professional through and through who loves to entertain the audiences with his guitar playing techniques, styles and also his charismatic stage presence.

Music. That is Mykals main love and passion. Performing onstage is where he truly feels the most comfortable. Watching a show of his you will realize this as well. Mykal is looking forward to performing during 2008 to promote and showcase the music that he has written for his debut album titled Mykal Gambull Volume 1. The album contains ten original songs from ballads to instrumentals, in a blend of blues, rock, soul, R & B, funk, surf, country, pop and gospel.
