With this album Mykal is showcasing his musical influences. The Album cannot be described as one particular genre. There are stylistic turns at every corner. From the hard rock instrumental Blues Of Red (The RCMP Song), a tribute to 2 slain Police Officers, to the tender ballad of You Say Mykal is showing the listener how diverse a musician he can be. The album contains 10 original compostitions. I am Blessed the southern flavored bluesy gospel number that closes the album shows Mykals strong roots of gospel influence. The song was co-written with Arizona musician and former Billy Joe Green musician, Pat Tointigh. It is the only song that contains
co-authorship. Many of the songs were influenced directly from experiences. As most song usually are. At the time of this posting, Mykal is enjoying regional and national success following the release of Volume 1. Plans are in the works to promote the album by performing everywhere the band can book themselves.
